The safety of your kids at Goodly starts before they’re ever in our care.
Serving in Goodly Kids is not for everyone.
We make sure of that.
Here’s our step-by-step process for selecting volunteers.

We have a thorough set of policies and procedures for working with children that we ask all our workers to abide by. This helps create a safe and consistent environment for parents, volunteers and kids.

People new to our community are asked to wait six months before applying to work with kids. We want to know who is with our kids.

We start with an application to check for motives, experience and discover suitability for working with kids.

All of our workers (whether paid or volunteers) are required to submit two character reference that we check with before they ever join our team.

Everyone who works in Goodly Kids are interviewed to ensure they not only have a passion for working with kids, but are also safe to do so.

Everyone working with kids at Goodly undergoes a criminal background check. We search a global watchlist, the national sex offender registry and conduct criminal checks at state and county levels. All checks are done by an independent third party and are updated according to our policy.

All volunteers are trained in classroom etiquette.

When you check your child in at Goodly Kids we’ll learn their name, any allergies or medical conditions you want us to know, and the best way to contact you should the need arise.
Your child will be given a unique security code each visit that ensures only you (or any other adult you have specified at check-in) can pick them up.
Which means you can be at peace knowing they are safe and secure in our care.
Check-in on the way in.
Make dropping off your kids the easiest part of church with Pre-check. On the way in to Goodly, open up our Church Center app, choose which kids are going to which class and you’ll be given a pre-check-in barcode.
Then when you arrive, just show your barcode at the check-in station, and voilà everything you need is waiting for you! No need to touch a screen or wait in line.
