Gifts in kind at Goodly.

Sometimes the most meaningful gift isn’t money — it’s materials, equipment, or skilled labor. These are called gifts in kind, and they can make a huge difference for projects like The Upgrade Project.

What you can give

  • Materials or supplies (paint, flooring, chairs, lighting, sound gear, etc.)

  • Equipment or assets (furniture, instruments, tools, vehicles, etc.)

  • Professional services (contracting, design, electrical, plumbing, etc.)

How it works

  1. Offer the gift. Let us know what you’d like to provide.

  2. We confirm. Our team will make sure it’s something we can use for the project.

  3. Receipt provided. We’ll issue a written acknowledgment of your gift (describing the item or service but not placing a dollar value on it).

Important Notes

  • Donors are responsible for determining the fair market value of their gift for tax purposes.

  • Goodly cannot assign a dollar amount to non-cash donations.

  • If services are donated, the IRS does not allow a tax deduction for the value of time/labor, but materials you purchase and donate may be deductible.

Why it matters

Every gift in kind saves money, engages people’s talents, and helps us create a space that truly serves our community.
